Peckville, Pa.- A field of 184 golfers, from 52 clubs throughout Pennsylvania, will compete next week in the Anthracite Golf Association's John Moore Tournament. The “Moore” is the third tournament on the Association's packed schedule.
The event will be played over three days on May 18, 19, and 20, and spans six golf courses. The championship courses this year include Mountain Laurel Golf Club, Berwick Golf Club, and Valley Country Club. In the Flight Divisions golfers will play Stonehedge Golf Club, Jack Frost National Golf Club, and Mahoning Valley Country Club.
This marks the 29th year for the John Moore Tournament. Portions of this year's proceeds help defray costs of operations at the Anthracite Golf Association. Funds are also used to operate our successful junior tour program and promote the AGA scholarship program. ... more
